Apollo’s Ruberton, Oaktree’s Vazales Join Scott Graves at Lane42

Former Ares Management Corp. partner Scott Graves has assembled a team to help run Lane42 Investment Partners, the asset manager he launched this year with $2 billion of capital commitments from Millennium Management.

Apollo Global Management Inc. veteran Rob Ruberton, Oaktree Capital Management’s Kaj Vazalesand Kirkland & Ellis partner Damon Fisher are joining Los Angeles-based Lane42 as co-founders, according to an emailed statement. Ruberton and Vazales will be portfolio managers and Fisher will serve as chief legal officer.
