Apollo’s Rowan Resolves JPMorgan Suit Over Charlie Javice Fraud

April 9, 2026, 7:38 PM UTC

Apollo Global Management Chief Executive Officer Marc Rowan resolved a lawsuit JPMorgan Chase & Co. brought against him and other early investors in Charlie Javice’s student-finance startup, Frank.

Javice was convicted in March 2025 of defrauding JPMorgan in its $175 million acquisition of her company. The bank is now seeking to recoup some of its losses from her backers. A trust controlled by Rowan, who invested in Frank in a personal capacity, was one of the defendants named in a sealed complaint the bank filed last month in Delaware Chancery Court.
