Amazon Buys Bee, Maker of $50 Wearable AI Personal Assistant

Amazon.com Inc. is acquiring Bee, a startup that makes a $50 wearable AI assistant.

Maria de Lourdes Zollo, a cofounder of the San Francisco startup, announced the acquisition in a brief post on LinkedIn.

“What began as a dream with an incredible team and community now finds a new home at Amazon,” she wrote.

Bee’s device, the Pioneer bracelet, records and transcribes the owner’s activities, using that information to populate to-do lists and summarize conversations.

Incorporated as Bluush Inc., Bee was founded in 2022 and raised about $8.5 million from investors, according to PitchBook data.
