Airbus, Blackstone to Join €600 Million Quantum Systems Funding

Airbus SE and Blackstone Inc. are in talks to be among the leading investors in a roughly €600 million ($703 million) funding round for Quantum Systems, a German drone startup backed by Peter Thiel, people familiar with the matter said.

Quantum Systems is close to finalizing terms of a round that could value it at as much as €7 billion, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. Balderton Capital, a UK venture capital firm that’s among its existing backers, is also in talks to participate, one of the people said.
