Advent Is Said to Near $1.1 Billion Purchase of Ginko China (1)

Buyout firm Advent is closing in on an acquisition of the mainland Chinese operations of Ginko International, the contact lens maker backed by EQT AB, people with knowledge of the matter said.

A deal is set to value Ginko’s China business at more than $1.1 billion, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. The firms are finalizing details of a deal that could be agreed soon, the people said.
