A film business owned by 777 Partners, whose finances were thrust into the spotlight when it tried to acquire English football club Everton FC, has filed bankruptcy and blamed the Miami-based private equity firm for its financial troubles.
Film Finances Inc. and its affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection in Delaware on Monday with support from lenders that have agreed to acquire the business, court filings show.
