An artificial intelligence research group is urging the Federal Trade Commission to probe Zoom Video Communications Inc.'s ability to use consumer data for training AI-based tools such as automated meeting summaries.
The video-conferencing platform allegedly misleads users about control over their data and doesn’t give meeting attendees a way to easily decline participation in AI features, the Center for AI and Digital Policy wrote in a Thursday complaint to the consumer protection agency.
