Zoom will add support for AES 256-bit GCM encryption in the upcoming version, providing increased protection for meeting data and resistance against tampering, according to a statement.
- Zoom 5.0 to be released within the week
- Security icon in the meeting menu bar makes it easier to access security controls
- Hosts will be able to “Report a User” to Zoom via the Security icon
- For education customers, screen-sharing now defaults to the host only
