Walmart Inc. violated Illinois biometric privacy law by collecting and sharing the facial geometry of workers for its Spark delivery app without informed consent, according to a proposed class action.

Delivery drivers for Walmart’s Spark platform are required to regularly upload photos of his driver’s license along with other photos to the Spark app to verify logging on, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
