Wabtec Must Face Suit Over Data Breach Affecting 7,400 Employees

Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp. lost its bid for an early end to a proposed class action alleging it failed to protect the personal information of more than 7,400 employees that was exposed in a March 2022 ransomware attack and data breach.

Plaintiffs Hokky Tjahjono and Miles Black alleged enough facts to support their claims of negligence, breach of implied contract, and unjust enrichment, Judge William S. Stickman IV of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania said Tuesday.
