VW Looks Into Continental Cyberattack as Hackers Post File List

Volkswagenis in talks with Continental to find out if any of its data was compromised after unknown perpetrators hacked the German parts maker in August.

  • The stolen data may include information connected to Continental’s customers VW, Mercedes and BMW, Handelsblatt reported Tuesday, citing a file list the hackers posted on the darknet
  • VW is “analyzing the relevance of the removed data, which may have a connection to Volkswagen and our subsidiaries,” the carmaker says in a statement
