Volkswagen Group of America Inc., Audi of America LLC, and digital marketer Shift Digital will pay $3.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit arising from a 2021 data breach that affected more than 3.1 million people, after a California appeals court rejected a challenge to the fairness of the deal.
