Foreign Ministers from Australia, Japan, India and the US Secretary of State called on nation states to take steps to address ransomware operations originating from within their own territory, according to a statement.
The officials, who met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, pledged to assist each other in the face of malicious cyber activity, including ransomware, against critical infrastructure. They also plan to fight against threats to the cyber infrastructure that enables Indo-Pacific economic development and security.
