The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has appointed Nicholas Andersen as executive assistant director for cybersecurity.
Andersen will lead CISA’s cybersecurity mission, addressing significant cyber threats and vulnerabilities and increasing the security and resilience of U.S. critical infrastructure, the agency said Tuesday.
A decorated U.S. Marine veteran, Andersen has extensive experience in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and intelligence operations, including cyber defense leadership roles in the first Trump administration. Previous roles include as president and chief operating officer of Invictus and chief information security officer at Lumen Technologies Public Sector.
