Labor union Unite Here secured final approval from a federal court for a $6 million settlement agreement over allegedly failing to protect the personal data of more than 790,000 people.
The hotel, gaming, and restaurant workers organization also agreed to enact data security measures in the wake of the Social Security number and medical information breach, according to documents from the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
