UKG Sees Other Wage Suits Over Hack of Kronos Payroll Software

Ultimate Kronos Group was hit Wednesday with six proposed class actions over a data breach that compromised the personally identifiable information of 8 million employees who say that they weren’t fully paid for their work after the breach occurred.

Ultimate Kronos Group subsidiary Kronos, a provider of payroll and time-sheet software, announced Dec. 13, 2021 that it had suffered a ransomware attack and warned that it could force its systems offline for weeks. Kronos restored core functions like employee time, scheduling, and payroll capabilities by Jan. 22, the company said in an emailed statement.
