A teenage boy <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbDocId":"RIPGGADWRGG0","_id":"00000183-7dc9-db80-a39b-7ddb34fe0000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">charged-bsp-bb-link> with computer misuse and a breach of bail has pleaded not guilty to using his mobile phone to hack into companies.
The 17-year-old teenager from Oxfordshire, who can’t be identified because he is a minor, appeared at a specialist London youth court on Monday.
Prosecutor Valerie Benjamin said in court that the boy had used a phone which he “didn’t have permission to have” to hack into companies, while “holding them to ransom” to gain access to software.
