Uber Must Give Up Business Unit’s Data Scraping Info on Instacart

Uber Technologies. Inc. must hand over documents related to the data-scraping practices of a Chilean grocery delivery startup it agreed to acquire in 2019, a California federal judge ruled.

Maplebear Inc., owner of supermarket delivery app Instacart, accused the Chilean app, Cornershop, of scraping Instacart’s intellectual property, including thousands of copyrighted images and pricing data.
