Uber Enters Non-Prosecution Pact With DOJ Over Data Breach

Uber Technologies entered a non-prosecution agreement to resolve a criminal probe into the cover-up of a data breach in 2016, the DOJ said.

  • Uber admitted to and accepted responsibility for the acts of its officers, directors, employees, and agents in concealing the breach from the Federal Trade Commission, which at the time of the breach had a pending investigation into Uber’s data security practice, the DOJ said
