Triller Accused of Keeping Users’ Biometric Data in Class Suit

Video-sharing social media app Triller Inc. illegally obtains and stores users’ biometric and video viewing information, according to a proposed class action filed in New York federal court.

Triller’s practices are a violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Video Privacy Protection Act, plaintiff Tamara Wilson argued in a lawsuit filed Dec. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
