TikTok Accused of Evading Subpoenas in State Mental Health Probe

Utah’s attorney general accused TikTok Inc. of failing to comply with subpoenas that are part of an investigation into whether the social video platform harmed children and violated the state’s consumer protection laws.

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes and Gov. Spencer Cox on Tuesday asked a state court to hold TikTok in contempt for failing to respond to inquires sent to the company in February and May, and to compel TikTok to comply with the subpoenas.
