Thomson Reuters Fights CLEAR Suit Class Certification (Correct)

Thomson Reuters Corp. presented arguments to a California federal judge Thursday against certifying a proposed class in a privacy suit challenging its sales database of dossiers containing sensitive personal information.

Cat Brooks and Rasheed Shabazz, two Black civil rights activists based in California, sued Thomson Reuters in 2021 over its CLEAR investigation platform, which they claim sells reports on individuals that include information not otherwise available to the general public.
