The Container Store Inc. was accused in a new lawsuit of using tracking software on its website without consent and violating California privacy laws by collecting user data through third-party trackers.
California resident Siti Aishah Ridzuan’s proposed class action, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, alleges the storage product retailer embedded tracking technologies from Google, Adobe, TikTok, and Meta Platforms on its website.
The trackers automatically collect users’ information and transmit it to third parties for advertising, analytics, and data profiling, she said.
