Texas AG Says Facebook Shouldn’t Delete Biometric Data Documents

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says Facebook, now rebranded as Meta Platforms, should not delete any documents the state has sought from the company as part of an investigation into its collection of biometric data.

  • Paxton says the investigation remains ongoing, adding that he is “pleased to hear” that Facebook is ending its use of facial recognition technology
