Tesla Workers Face Risk of Arbitration on Data Breach Claims

Tesla Inc. employees who sued the automaker for a data breach are likely going to arbitration, a federal judge said Thursday during a hearing to consolidate three potential class actions.

Judge James Donato of the US District Court for the Northern District of California told the plaintiffs’ attorneys to select one lead lawyer and come back in two weeks with a statement on how to organize counsel and a proposed date for a consolidated complaint. He also foreshadowed what will happen to the litigation.
