TD Bank Data Theft Shows ‘Systemic’ Security Woes, Suit Says

TD Bank N.A. took more than two years to notice an employee had unlawfully accessed its computer networks and stolen the sensitive financial information of swaths of customers, a proposed class action said.

A TD Bank worker gained access to its computer systems in 2022 from August to December and stole bank customers’ personally identifying and sensitive financial information, according to a complaint filed on Feb. 28 in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
