TalentLaunch Hit With Suit Over Data Breach Affecting 120,000

TalentLaunch LLC allegedly failed to protect the personal information of more than 120,000 people that was exposed in a 2023 data breach, a proposed federal class action said.

Steve Buyck alleged that TalentLaunch, a nationwide network of staffing and recruitment firms, failed to implement adequate data-security standards, adequately train its employees, or comply with industry data-security standards and FTC guidelines.

It also waited 10 months after becoming aware of the breach to notify those affected, depriving them of the opportunity to take measures to protect themselves, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern ...
