SysInformation Healthcare Services LLC was hit with a proposed class action alleging the company handling data from health providers across the US failed to implement adequate security measures, leading to a June 2023 cyberattack that exposed patients’ personal and health information.
The company failed to employ appropriate cybersecurity safeguards, such as encrypting sensitive data or deleting information no longer needed, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
