Swiss Game Maker Settles Children’s Privacy Allegations With FTC

Swiss digital games maker Miniclip S.A. agreed to settle U.S. Federal Trade Commission allegations that it misled consumers about participating in a program to protect children’s privacy.

Miniclip, majority owned by China’s Tencent Holdings Ltd., must no longer misrepresent its participation in the program or others similar to it, the FTC said in a Tuesday statement. Miniclip also must meet compliance and recordkeeping requirements, the FTC said.
