SuperCare Health Sees Another Lawsuit Over 2021 Data Breach

SuperCare Health Inc. was hit with another proposed class action in California federal court on Tuesday, one of several lawsuits the respiratory-care provider has seen over a data breach that allegedly compromised the confidential information of over 300,000 current and former patients.

Hamid Shalviri alleges SuperCare failed to safeguard patients’ personal and medical information—compromising their names, addresses, dates of birth, health insurance, and medical records, according to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

SuperCare also failed to notify Shalviri and the proposed class for eight months after the breach occurred, he claimed. ...
