Plaintiffs suing Apple Inc. over alleged privacy violations by Siri asked a San Francisco federal court to sanction the company for deleting audio recordings of users’ interactions with the voice assistant at the center of the proposed class action.
Apple “deliberately and intentionally” failed to retain important data since the litigation was initiated in 2019, said the six plaintiffs, who seek to represent a class of Apple users whose confidential communications were recorded by Siri, in a motion filed Friday.
