Singer Chris Stapleton Warns About AI’s Danger to Music Industry

Generative artificial intelligence is forcing the music industry to rethink how it protects artists and their fans in an age of impersonation, country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton said Tuesday at a cybersecurity conference in San Francisco.

The rapid development of AI tools that can fabricate voice and video makes it inevitable that Stapleton’s music will eventually be copied by the tech, he told a panel at the RSA cybersecurity conference.
