Sinema, Cassidy Push Bipartisan Paid Leave Plan

Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) are pushing a bipartisan plan to tackle the issue of paid leave family and hope their recent proposal will catch the interest of lawmakers who already have several leave plans to consider.

Focus on Babies: The lawmakers’ child tax credit proposal offers financial assistance only for parents of a newborn or newly adopted child. “If we start addressing that, we can accomplish a lot of what we want to accomplish,” Cassidy said.
