California’s first-in-the-nation child internet safety law was again before a panel of federal appeals court judges Wednesday, who are faced with applying the US Supreme Court’s most recently internet speech precedent.
The three-judges for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will decide whether to overturn at California’s urging a preliminary injunction won by the tech industry trade group NetChoice LLC last year and allow the state’s Age-Appropriate Design Code Act to take effect.
