Samsung Says US Customers Affected in Cybersecurity Incident

Samsung says a recently discovered cybersecurity incident affected some of the information of its US customers, according to a statement.

  • Breach did not impact Social Security numbers or credit and debit card numbers
    • May have affected information such as name, contact and demographic information, date of birth, and product registration information
  • Samsung has taken actions to secure the affected systems and is notifying customers to make them aware of this matter
