The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey rejected the company’s request to send the claims to arbitration in a Wednesday order.
Samsung didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Consumers sued the U.S. unit of the South Korea-based electronics manufacturer in 2017, claiming that their TVs tracked their viewing habits without their knowledge, in alleged violation of laws including the Wiretap Act.
