Roblox User’s Parents Sue Over Hidden Online Tracker System (1)

Roblox Corp.‘s online gaming platform covertly intercepts users’ electronic communications and harvests their personal information through tracking code in its website and apps, a proposed class action alleges.

Two parents said about 42% of Roblox’s more than 50 million daily active users are under the age of 13. They told the US District Court for the Central District of California that they wouldn’t have allowed their child to use Roblox had they known it effectively spies on the family’s activities and identities for profit.
