Ring Tries to Settle Consumer Claims That Cameras Invade Privacy

Amazon.com Inc.‘s Ring unit is seeking to resolve out of court claims that its home security cameras invaded people’s privacy.

The lawsuit involves consumers who bought Ring devices themselves, along with a dozen children and an elderly woman whose privacy was allegedly compromised by the devices. At issue is whether the two groups should be held to the same legal standard.
