Ring Argues Its Doorbell Cameras Can’t Invade Passerby Privacy

Amazon.com Inc.‘s Ring unit told a federal court that its home security cameras can’t invade the privacy of people captured on video while passing by because the company doesn’t know who they are.

“They are not Ring customers, and they have no relationship whatsoever with Ring,” the company said in a Friday filing in a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
