Rideshare car rental company Drive Sally LLC failed to adequately secure the personal information of potentially tens of thousands of customers and employees exposed in a May data breach, a proposed federal class action alleged.
Drive Sally was negligent in safeguarding the data it stored, waited over a month to notify those affected, and “was vague of any specific details of when the breach occurred,” according to the complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
