Retina Group of Washington LLC’s $3.6 million settlement of a consolidated class action stemming from a 2023 data breach received final approval from a federal court.
The eye health-care provider agreed to adopt better data security practices, and a class of about 450,000 people will be eligible for reimbursement and 24 months of credit monitoring services, according to the Monday order from the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
