Credit Union Member Sues Progress Software Over MOVEit Hack (1)

Progress Software Corp. failed to protect the personal information of one million members of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union that was exposed in a cyberattack upon its MOVEit file-transfer app, a new proposed federal class action said.

The lawsuit is the latest against Progress following the MOVEit attack, allegedly carried out by the Clop criminal hacking group, which resulted in the theft of data from dozens of organizations and government agencies in the US and Europe. Notable victims include oil giant Shell PLC and British Airways, along with banks, manufacturing firms, and universities.
