Prisma Labs Sued Over Lensa AI App’s Biometric Data Harvesting

Prisma Labs Inc. trained a “neural network” artificial intelligence sold as a photo-and-video-editing application called Lensa AI by harvesting biometric data from billions of photographs it “covertly scraped” from the internet, including facial images of thousands of Illinois residents, a proposed class-action lawsuit alleges.

“In pursuit of profit, Prisma allows public and private entities and persons to purchase access to the Biometric Database and products generated from the Database by Lensa,” according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
