Planned Parenthood Los Angeles faces a potential class action lawsuit over a data breach that the reproductive health-care provider said exposed personal information on about 400,000 patients.
The lawsuit blames data security failures for the October ransomware attack that exfiltrated patient files, leaving sensitive data vulnerable to identity theft. The suit was brought Thursday by a patient using the initials K.O. to protect her privacy.
