Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP was hit with two lawsuits alleging it failed to protect the personal information of Texas residents from a data breach.
The lawsuits, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges Pillsbury did not properly safeguard personal information, leading to a data breach in April 2025 that exposed names, Social Security numbers, addresses, birthdates and financial account details.
The breach was reported to the Texas Attorney General, who said that the incident may have impacted over 39,000 residents of the state.
