The Philadelphia Inquirer’s $525,000 deal to settle a class action over alleged inadequate security practices at the newspaper received final approval from a federal judge Tuesday.
The newspaper was targeted in several class action suits, later consolidated, after a May 2023 data incident impacted about 25,500 people, according to the order from the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
