People Inc. Beats Wiretapping Suit Over Google Data Disclosure

People Inc. defeated a proposed class action alleging it disclosed the personal information of users of its verywellhealth.com website to third parties without consent in violation of state and federal wiretapping and privacy laws.

Lead plaintiff Tyler Maghoney failed to show he suffered concrete injuries sufficient for standing to sue in federal court, Judge Anthony J. Battaglia of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said Monday.
