Pennsylvania Health Dept. Slapped With Covid Privacy Lawsuit (1)

The Pennsylvania Department of Health was hit with a proposed privacy class action after one of its contractors suffered a breach of personal information collected during contact tracing efforts in the state.

The state health department and staffing partner Insight Global Inc. acted negligently and put people at risk of fraud by failing to protect the health information, plaintiff Lisa Chapman alleged in the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
