Orthopaedics Practice Hit With Class Action Over Data Breach

Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance PLLC and Concord Orthopaedics Professional Association are facing a proposed class action filed Thursday over a November data breach that exposed more than 67,000 patients’ personal and medical information.

The breach was the “direct, proximate, and foreseeable” result of the companies’ failure to follow industry standards and government regulations in safeguarding patients’ data, James Wallen alleged in a complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
