Old Navy Accused of Secretly Recording Shoppers’ Website Visits

Old Navy LLC secretly deployed “keystroke monitoring” software to intercept and monitor the keystrokes and mouse clicks of all visitors to its website, according to a proposed class action filed in federal court in California.

Miguel Licea claims that Old Navy and its employees violated the California Invasion of Privacy Act by illegally wiretapping www.oldnavy.gap.com by using a session replay program to capture videos of a user’s experience on the website without their consent.
